    Coach Westmoreland

Greetings Marlin Nation, I am Coach Westmoreland (right). I graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a BS in Civil Engineering and from Lamar University with a MS in Counseling and Development.  I began my educational career at James Madison High School in 2015 as a CTE teacher and transitioned to a counselor in 2019.  I began coaching in 2016 as the assistant coach to the varsity cheerleading squad and transitioned to head coach in 2017.

On our team, we believe in working hard and giving our best in everything that we do.  Being a Marlin Cheerleader is a privilege that you’ll never forget. We are scholars first and athletes second. Our team strives to be a positive representation of the Marlin Nation. We work hand in hand with the team, the parents, and the school to promote excellence and school spirit among our athletes.
