Hello everyone! My name is Betty You, and I’m the Mandarin teacher at School of St. George Place.

I teach at HISD Lanier Middle School Mandarin for 6 years before joining the SGP Family in 2018. I graduated from University of Houston Victoria with MBA degree and got my teaching Certification from A+ Texas Teachers. I found myself loving teaching and working with children!

In my Mandarin class, students will be learning basic language skills, discover the beauty of Chinese characters, and explore Chinese culture through IB focused, themed unit lessons. Then Mandarin Language Learning Experience is sure to be an asset for children's future life.

When I’m not teaching, I love to travel and volunteer. I also frequently do Zumba, Yoga, and other fitness activities. I’m secretly a great Ping-Pong player as well! Can’t wait for another great semester with my students!
