Greetings! My name is Kimberly Day, 4th Grade Math and Science teacher inspired to enhance professional learning through focusing on the needs of every scholar. I am from Ferris, Texas. I am a Wife and a mother of 4 wonderful children.
I’m thrilled to say this is my 17th year as an educator which includes 6 years of teaching Math and Science in the Houston Independent School District. My educational experience includes a Montessori Kindergarten teacher, 1st/2nd Grade multi-level age classes, 4th/5th multi-level age class, Liaison for Race to the Top, Lead Teacher, Teacher Mentor, and Career Pathway Data Tracking and Assessment Specialist.
I graduated from Texas Southern University (TSU), with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, Minor in Sociology in 2001; and from Western Governors University (WGU), with a Post Baccalaureate in Elementary Education in 2007.

I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. I attended Jesuit educational institutions from kindergarten to college, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Science of Accounting from ITESO University in 1978, with a minor in Communication. Later, I completed a postgraduate degree in Business High Management at the Pan American Institute of Business Administration and Management. After more than 10 years at Hewlett Packard, I received my teacher certification and have been teaching in Texas since 2007.
