Meet The Director

Mr. Kerry Rice joined the Jane Long Academy faculty in the Fall of 2021 and is the founding Director of the Jane Long Academy Orchestra program. Currently, in his 10th year as an educator, Mr. Rice holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Music from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and has previously held positions of Music Director of the Southeast Texas Youth Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra and Band Director in the Beaumont ISD, Band Director in Port Arthur ISD and Director of Bands in Colmesneil ISD before joining the staff at Jane Long. Mr. Rice lives with his wife Courtney, a History Teacher, in Baytown, Texas.
