Ms. Catherine Clay

Room - Theater

Ms. Clay began her career as a professional actress, and has extensive  experience in professional Theatre and film. She received a Bachelors in Theatre and Psychology, and a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Houston. She has led the Theatre department at Waltrip since 1995, producing many shows, musicals, and plays. Waltrip Theatre has been the District Champions in the UIL One Act Play contest for the last 23 years under her direction.

She has three children and enjoys outdoors activities and traveling. She still acts professionally, when not helping students work toward realizing their creative potential.
