Houston Independent School District (HISD) works to ensure that throughout the District, the work and strategic goals of schools, departments, individuals, and teams are continuously aligned with the HISD's Strategic Direction. Through the Performance Management department, HISD offers support to managers, principals, district leaders, and other HISD personnel by:
- providing HISD employees with performance appraisals instruments,
- providing direct service and support to school-based and central-office staff to help improve educator quality and student achievement, and
- providing tools, resources, and training to support continuous improvement and data-driven performance across all departments and campuses.
