     Hello! My name is Ashley Kolb and I teach second grade math, science, and social studies. I started teaching at Parker in 2012, but I have been teaching since I graduated college in 2008.  I am the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2008 (WHOOP!) where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education). My favorite thing about teaching is helping my students see and understand the world around them in new ways (usually through fun experiments). My favorite children's books are Oh, The Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss and Matilda by Roald Dahl. When I am not teaching I like to play computer and video games, listen to music, and spend time with my husband Andrew, my boys Christopher and Maxwell, and our dogs Bowser and Lucy. Someday I hope to play my violin like I used to when I practiced every day in high school, and get a master’s degree in education. I am very happy to be a part of the wonderful Parker family!
