Special Education

Houston ISD provides a continuum of special education services to meet the needs of eligible students with disabilities. We advocate for students with disabilities to receive inclusive instruction with their non-disabled peers and support them in their learning.

Auditorily Impaired and Hard of Hearing Program 

Baker Montessori is a site for the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD) which was instituted by the Texas Education Agency to provide quality services to students in Texas who are deaf or hearing impaired. Eligible students are in a general education classroom with accommodations, which may include an interpreter, FM systems, etc.
