Eden Bass
Principal
Eden Bass was selected as the principal of Baker Montessori in June 2022.
Ms. Bass began her career in HISD as a sixth-grade math teacher at Patrick Henry Middle School before joining the founding teaching team at the Arabic Immersion Magnet School. At AIMS, Ms. Bass served as an Arabic language enrichment teacher and later held several leadership roles, including magnet coordinator, teacher specialist, and assistant principal. Before coming to Baker, Ms. Bass was principal of Love Elementary, where she and her team were able to lead the community through the pandemic while increasing enrollment, raising student achievement, and expanding student extracurricular opportunities.
Ms. Bass earned a bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Wellesley College and a master’s degree in Public School Leadership from Teachers College of Columbia University.
Dr. Krystal Perkins
Assistant Principal
Dr. Krystal Perkins has been a member of Baker Montessori since 2005.
She has served this community for 4 years as a teacher, 15 years as an administrator, and 17 years as a parent.Dr. Krystal began her career in HISD as an EC teacher in room A109 the inaugural year of our Montessori program here at Baker. Since then, she has held several leadership roles, including literacy coach, GT coordinator, 504 coordinator, LPAC coordinator, magnet coordinator, testing coordinator, instructional coordinator, teacher induction coach, and assistant principal.Dr. Krystal earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Texas A&M University, an Early Childhood Montessori credential from American Montessori Society, a master's degree in education from American Intercontinental University, an Educational Entrepreneurship and Principal Certification from Rice University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Liberty University. She is currently working toward her Montessori Administrator Credential from the American Montessori Society.
