WHEN THE HISD SINGLE SIGN-ON PAGE COMES UP, TYPE IN THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
HISD families may be eligible to receive Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT), a one-time benefit of up to $285 to be issued on an EBT card to assist families during the district’s closure.
The $1 billion benefit program was approved by the United States Department of Agriculture to help eligible families buy food during the COVID-19 pandemic. The EBT card can be used as a debit card to buy food from any retailer that accepts the Texas Lone Star Card.
It is not up to the school to determine eligibility …we are just passing the information on.
Check out HISD website about this new announcement here:
For more than 20 years, fourth- and fifth-graders from two dozen HISD schools have competed in the annual contest, which challenges students to write and present a short original speech on a subject related to the slain civil rights leader. The topic this year is, “What would Dr. King’s vision be for America in 2020?”
