A School of Opportunity
In August 2022, Jose Santos assumed the role of principal at Challenge Early College High School. With a remarkable 23-year tenure at HISD, he has contributed his expertise in various capacities. For the last three years, from June 2019 to July 2022, he served as the principal of Middle College High School at Fraga, where he orchestrated a culture of success. During his tenure, he introduced innovative professional learning communities, providing students with opportunities to enhance their academic achievement, college and career readiness, and graduation rates.
Mr. Santos has also held positions as an assistant principal at Sterling Aviation Early College High School and as dean of students at the Advanced Virtual Academy. His journey in education began at Mirabeau B. Lamar High School, and he also excelled as a teacher at East Early College High School. Notably, Mr. Santos holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master's in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.
