• West Briar BBOY CREW

    The boy’s breakdancing class is a hip-hop/breakdancing group at West Briar Middle School. We are looking to add dancers with heart, talent (Hip Hop/BBoyin’/Poppin’/etc.) and the spirit to represent West Briar in a positive manner.

  • REHEARSALS: Dance practices will be during the 1st period boys dance class and Thursdays after school from 4:00 – 5:30 PM in Ms. Demny's room E115 for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade male students. Additional practices maybe added as needed. Wear comfortable athletic attire. Whatever you need to move, no jewelry. High school students from the Inertia Dance Company at Westside will be teaching the class, as well as local hip hop dance professionals occasionally. 

     

    PERFORMANCES: Depending on the class size and student’s dance ability, the boy breakdancing students may have the opportunity to perform throughout the year. Students must be passing all classes on their report card prior to each performance in order to perform. Information regarding each performance and costuming necessities will be sent out prior to each performance.

    • November 21, 2019 - West Briar Dance Fall Show at 6:30 pm in the West Briar Auditorium. Tickets sold at the door.
    • December 7, 2019 - Random Acts of Dance Concert at Westside High School. Time TBA. Tickets sold at the door.
    • March 26, 2020 – Bellaire Community Concert at Bellaire High School. Time TBA. Tickets sold at the door.
    • April 23, 2020 - West Briar Dance Spring Show at 6:30 pm in the West Briar Auditorium. Tickets sold at the door.
