It’s official! Applications for Phase One for the 2025-2026 school year will open on December 10, 2024. The deadline to submit an application during Phase One is February 12, 2025, and parents will receive lottery notifications on or after March 20, 2025.

Additionally, the dates for all the HISD School Choice Fairs have also been approved.

These tours are held on Saturdays so parents and students can attend together to learn about school options for next year.

Each location will have representatives from multiple schools present to answer questions.

Additionally, the dates for Magnet Thursday tours for parents are also official.  

All Magnet School Campuses will host tours on the following Thursdays at the following times.

Parents do not need to make appointments ahead of time to attend the Saturday School Choice Fairs or the Thursday tours at Hogg, but other schools might require parents to register for their Thursday tours. Please check their websites for details.
