• Hi, my name is Jamie Locander.   I grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration.   After a few years working in the "business world", I decided to pursue a career where I felt I could make a real difference in the lives of others.   Having come from a family of educators, I did not have to look very far.   I attained my elementary certification through Region IV and completed my student teaching at Poe Elementary in HISD in 2011.  This is my 5th year at Lovett Elementary as a fourth grade teacher.  My wife and I have a son, Hayes, who is 2.  I look forward to the 2016-2017 school year and working with you and your child.
