Hello – My name is Robin Gibson and I have been working at Parker since April 2001.

I started out as a parent volunteer.  Both my children went here starting in Kindergarten.  My daughter is still playing her cello.  She is 23 and is attending U of H in Clearlake.  She will finish there in Dec. 2013 with a degree in early childhood and wants to be a teacher.  My son is 21 and attending the HCC Fire Academy to become a firefighter.  I have been married to my wonderful husband since 1986.

I love working at Parker and being with the children.  They are such a joy to be around.  I worked in the lunchroom the first 10 years of my time at Parker.  Even though it was LOUD, the kids would always bring a smile to my face.  The last three years, I have worked in the office.  Parker is the best place to work.

On my time off, I love to go to the movies, scrapbook, do ceramics and just chill with friends.  I started a “Bucket list” a few years back.  Some of the things I still want to do are own a Ford Mustang, go to Disney World, and tour the castles of Ireland.  The only thing I have marked off so far is seeing a Broadway Musical (saw in Houston but would love to see one in New York).

Growing up in Dallas (Go Cowboys) I was never big on reading, but in my older years I now love reading children’s books.  Among my favorite are the Anne of Green Gables series and Harry Potter and the Percy Jackson series.

What I look forward to the most – retiring!!!!
