Mr. Bardin founded Parker's classical guitar program in 2004 and has been its director to the present day.
A native of Dallas, he earned a bachelor’s degree in music theory and composition from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master’s degree in composition from the University of North Texas.
Mr. Bardin worked for twenty-five years as a conductor of choirs and orchestras in church settings in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
He has been much in demand as a clinician and adjudicator at music festivals, and has more than 75 compositions to his credit, including pieces composed for the Parker Guitar Ensemble.
He and Mrs. Bardin have two grown children, a son and a daughter, who both went to Parker. So he has also been a Parker parent and used to sell pickles to students every Thursday after school!
An avid reader, Mr. Bardin loves books of all kinds. His favorite children’s book is “Good Night, Moon.”
