• Welcome to Grade 4
    •  Students: During November and December we will be devoting our time to studying the Native American cultures of Texas. Each student will be assigned a tribe to research on their own. Then, students will create a diorama that displays the unique attributes of their particular tribe. Details will be passed out after Benchmark testing on Thursday, November 14th. Projects will be due by Friday, December 6th. I can't wait to see the incredible dioramas that our students create!
    • Has everyone signed up for the Tri-Turkeylon? Last year, it was a blast! Students had a great time! Don't miss out on all the fun: Saturday, November 22nd. I will see you there!
    • What? You didn't have time to take an A.R. test during the school day? Well, don't fret- You can take A.R. tests up until 5:30p.m. every weekday. Let your teacher know if you're having trouble!
    • Keep turning in your Reading Logs. It's so much easier now. Just write down the title and author of the book you're reading, and get a parent to sign it---all in your AGENDA! No more lost pages; no more wrinkled and ripped sheets of paper; no more "do overs!" Remember, we check Reading Logs every Monday.

    • Tutorials continue through December on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. If you are signed up, please make sure to come. Many of you are really doing well in Reading, and we don't want that progress to stall. The tutorials are just to help you continue with that success! We will be sending out more permission slips next week (November 17th -21st). Let's have fun AND improve our reading!

    • Don't be absent or we will miss out on the prizes that go with great attendance! We want to be the class who wins, right?

    • ORDER IN THE HALLS! It is really important that the fourth grade sets a good example for the younger students who visit our upstairs halls during ancillary and computer lab. This is "OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME" and we want everyone to be quiet and courteous when they are up here on the second floor. Show the little ones how we walk in line, keep our hands to ourselves, and use our time reading instead of talking. You know, we are the BEST!

    • Thank you to all the parents who have helped us collect BOX TOPS. We are really raking them in! Keep them coming- we can always use more!

    •  And, finally, a very Happy Thanksgiving to all my students! Gobble, Gobble!

     Stay safe and healthy!
