Summer Reading Resources

  • My name is Mrs. Lujan and I am excited to provide Library service at Sinclair for the 2021-2022 school year! We are getting ready to kick off two literacy programs on our campus and are in need of volunteers for both programs. I am including a link to each program and also attaching a flyer with information but here is a brief summary of what we are looking for.

    1. Read Houston Read: Volunteers will be working one on one with 1st grade students for 1 hour per week (2 students back to back for 30 minutes each). FLIP kits will be provided with a book and literacy activity. This will be a weekly commitment until the end of the school year.

    Read Houston Read

    2. Real Men Read: Gentlemen volunteers from the community to read aloud to a 3rd grade classroom. This is a one hour commitment once a month until the end of the school year.
