The Wraparound Services Department connects students and their families with community resources that address the non-instructional needs that can affect a student’s ability to learn.
Ms. Kimberly Velez is Carrillo Elementary’s Wraparound Resource Specialist! Ms. Velez is a product of Houston ISD East End schools. Having attended Charles F. Hartman Middle School and Stephen F. Austin High School, she first handedly understands the importance of meeting the needs of our community. Since obtaining her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, Ms. Velez has worked the last seven years in several roles providing resources to at-risk adolescents and their families. Ms. Velez understands the needs of our Carrillo families and strives to assist students and their families in any way possible.
