“We mark a significant moment in time: we have a building to build on this very ground beneath our feet” said Principal Lori Lambopoulos during the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new Energy Institute building on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
In the presence of Superintendent Richard Carranza and Trustee Jolanda Jones, students, teachers and staff were in a festive and excited mood by the groundbreaking ceremony of the first PBL energy theme high school in America.
HISD hopes that the Energy Institute HS serves as a model for the development of PBL curriculum for the district.
