Energy creates a unique learning environment with cutting-edge resources, twenty first century labs, and additional digital resources to maximize student learning. All classrooms will utilize state of the art technology providing teachers with the instruction tools necessary to engage students in a technology rich, student-centered environment.

Energy is part of the PowerUp 1:1 initiative so each child has his or her own laptop. All classrooms and labs are equipped with 70 inch Smart Interactive TV’s and students have access to iPads in the classrooms as well. Access to these types of technologies opens up a whole new world for students and creates a worldwide classroom. Energy is also a recipient of the 2013 Magnet School Assistance Program which provides our school with millions of dollars to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, provide enrichment opportunities, and send teachers to important trainings that will improve student learning.

Energy also has a unique Media Lounge. The room serves as our resource/research center for students. Students can meet and collaborate on projects or use the room as a comfortable place to access digital resources. It will be a place for students to plug-in rather than check-out. And, we won’t stop there! We are planning on finding even more new, updated and innovative things to do.
