Center for Inquiry
-
The Center for Inquiry combines the Library and the Digital Skills Lab (DSL).
Students visit the library weekly where parent volunteers assist in check in/out books and locate books or resources. It's a time when students can look for a book to read for enjoyment or dive into research materials. Books may be checked out and returned the following week.
The children can look up titles on resource laptops or discover books as they walk through the aisles. Special displays highlight 'Name That Book,' 'Texas Bluebonnet' titles and/or series favorites like 'The Magic Tree House,' 'Hardy Boys' and 'Nancy Drew.' A special section houses graphic novels for our budding artists and writers. Please consider becoming a parent volunteer to assist children with their book selections!Contact library@robertspto.org for more infomation!
Reading Levels
Roberts uses both Guided Reading Level (letter) and DRA Reading Level (number) to indicate your child's independent reading level based on his/her level of accuracy, fluency and comprehension. See the reading level comparison chart. Children's books with these associated reading levels can be used as a guide to the book's level of difficulty. Click here for more information on DRA.
eBooks
Enrolled students may access eBooks using myOn and SebcoBooks websites. Username and passwords are provided to students for these and other learning sites located on http://www.robertselementary.pbworks.com at the beginning of each academic year.Model of Inquiry
