I am excited to be starting a new year at Roberts Elementary. I graduated from the University of Houston and began teaching Kindergarten 10 years ago in Pasadena ISD. I love working with the young ones because I believe in providing students with the opportunities to explore and discover new things in a multicultural world, which helps build a foundation for a love of learning and life-long scholars. I enjoy listening to music and dancing. I love to spend time with family and friends over coffee, eating, and shopping. I believe in cherishing every moment in life. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity! I'm excited for this new journey.

I am Teneika Punch, a proud Houston native. I grew up in a large family and am the eldest of 7 children. I attended high school in Fort Bend and then went on to get my bachelor's degree in Education from University of Houston in 2005. I was blessed to immediately begin teaching at Roberts after graduating. It has been a dream come true. In 2011, I completed my Master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership at Lamar University. In my spare time, I like to read, run and (best of all) spend time with my daughter and my two puppies; Shaka Zulu (Chocolate Labrador) and Cinderella (Lab/Shepherd mix). My favorite part of being a teacher is seeing how much they grow and accomplish throughout the year. My goal for this year is to help students develop strong inquiry skills. I know this is going to a fun and amazing year!

My name is Deb Rivero and this is my second year back at Roberts ES! I have taught K-3rd grade all over the world. I was most recently living in Madrid, Spain teaching at the American School of Madrid before returning to Roberts last August. Not only am I a Roberts teacher but also a Roberts parent. My older 2 children attended Roberts when I was previously here teaching 2nd grade and my youngest is currently here in 4th grade. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading and the outdoors.

I am happy to begin a new year at Roberts Elementary. I graduated from the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and have been teaching Kindergarten ever since. My previous teaching experience includes teaching in Clear Creek and Humble districts and also at The University of Houston. I have a beautiful Dobie at home that is the light of my life, and my hobbies include yoga, running and reading. I travel during summers and recently visited Costa Rica, Florida and Morocco. What amazing experiences, but I'm happy to be home. I believe that I have, by far, the BEST job in the world -- to spend my days alongside children learning to be the best IB individual and life-long learner they can possibly be. I feel so blessed to be here at Roberts Elementary.

I am so excited about the new school year. I am thrilled to be teaching at Roberts Elementary as I grew up close to the area and I it warms my heart to be able to give back to the community. I am a product of HISD and a huge advocate of public schools. I graduated from University of Houston with a degree in Education and an emphasis in reading and early childhood education. Traveling and learning about different cultures is one of my number one passions. I have traveled as far away as Japan, Israel, Germany Italy, Austria, Dublin, Paris, Budapest, Prague, Toronto, as well as a few others. I have one brother who lives in Munich, Germany. My mother lives a couple of hours outside of Houston and loves bringing her farm animals to visit the classroom. Half of my family lives in Boston and I try to head that way as much as possible. I definitely cheer for the Red Sox. I cannot leave out my little Boston Terrier, Chunk.
