Waltrip High School's Magnet Program is a "School within a School."  All students, zoned and non-zoned, must apply to the magnet program through the School Choice application and meet minimum matrix score requirements. 

2024-2025 Lottery Notifications will be announced on March 26, 2024.

Magnet Thursday Tours

Tours will begin promptly at 1:00 PM and conclude by 2:00 PM.  Please arrive a little early to get checked in. You will need your driver's license. We will begin with a welcome in the foyer conference room and then begin the building tour.   

The tour will take you through the school, visiting Core Classrooms, Magnet and Career Technology labs, as well as our vast array of Enrichment Classes in Fine Arts, Athletics, Foreign Language. and JROTC.
