LOVETT VOCAL MUSIC PROGRAM

  • In vocal music classes, students will learn to read and write music, compose their own melodies, create accompaniments, recognize and demonstrate rhythms, play singing games, and of course, SING! They will also build a repertoire of music of many cultures, listen actively to music, and have the opportunity to perform. Perhaps most importantly, students in vocal music develop self-discipline, group problem-solving skills, concentration, and the desire to make music an integral part of their lives.

Although music is of extraordinary value itself, the students will discover and reinforce music’s links to other subjects, such as art, drama, social studies, language arts, and mathematics.

If you can walk, you can dance.

If you can talk, you can sing.
