    Password: The student's password should be their eight-digit date of birth (no slashes): MMDDYYYY 

     

    HISD Connect - for Parents  

    Parent Student Connect (PSC), is an online service launched by HISD in September 2009, which allows registered users (i.e., parents and students) to log in to access a variety of student information, see class assignments and school calendars, and even communicate electronically with teachers.  

    Users can also choose to have an e-mail or text message sent if a child's grades drop below a selected average or is absent or tardy to class.

    HISD Connect Parent Portal The Complete Guide 

     

    HISD Connect - Parent Portal Instructions 

    The HISD Connect parent portal allows parents with several children to view information for all their children with one login account. 
    You may view your child(ren)'s current grades and attendance at any time after creating your account. 
    To create your account, access the PowerSchool Parent Portal and complete the following steps: 

    1. Select the tab to Create an Account. 
    1. Click the Create Account button. 
       

    Enter Parent/Guardian Account Details: 

    1. Your First Name 
    1. Your Last Name 
    1. Your Email Address 
    1. Your Email Address again as the Username 
    1. Note the password rules and enter your desired 
    1. Re-enter the password. 

    Complete the Link Students to Account section: 

    1. Student Name: TYPE YOUR NAME 
    1. Access ID: TYPE TOUR ACCESS ID 
    1. Access Password: TYPE YOUR ACCESS PASSWORD 
    1. Select your relationship with the student 

    Repeat steps 7-10 for all students you would like to link to your account and click enter. 

    You will be re-directed to a new login screen where you will enter the login username and password created above. 

    Please keep your username and password confidential so only you can access the information for your student.  

    Parent Portal – Access ID 

    • The Access ID for the Parent Portal is a unique 6-digit code (all letters) and a unique password (all numbers); this is NOT the same as the student ID.  
    • If a parent needs access to more than one student, they will need a unique Access ID and password for each student. 
    • Please contact the campus Registrar or Student Information Rep for your student's Access ID
