Presentations will be held during PBL Skills on Friday, December 1st for all juniors.

*Students are encouraged to find their own internship. If they have a connection, they need to speak with Mrs. Garcia (lauren.garcia@houstonisd.org) to go through the approval process during the spring of their junior year.

The Practicum in STEM program, is a work-based learning opportunity for seniors at Energy Institute High School. Students apply for jobs in their junior year and, if selected by the employers, they will hold jobs during their entire senior year. During their senior year, students attend class in the mornings from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm and then report to work from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Students need to be on track for graduation to participate in the program and should see their dean if they have questions about their four-year plan. Students will submit resumes and attend interviews and the corporate partners will offer positions to students.
