Ms. Leon- Assistant Principal

    My name is Arcelia Leon, and I am happy to serve as Assistant Principal at Raul C. Martinez Elementary School.  I have been in education for over 20 years.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Trinity College of Vermont and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University Houston.  I am currently working towards my Doctorate in Education and Organizational Change.
     
    I started my career as a teacher in Houston, and then later served as an administrator in Fort Worth, and in San Antonio.  My career focus is student achievement through collective impact.  I believe that when all stakeholders work together, we can help students reach their full potential.  My favorite quote is by Albert Einstein, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”  Let’s encourage our children to take academic risks and see the wonders they come up with!
