Lee Mashburn returns to Sinclair following 25 years of service within the Houston Independent School District. His career includes service in the classroom as a third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade teacher with his most recent classroom experience as a fourth grade teacher at Sinclair Elementary. Mr. Mashburn also served as the Magnet Coordinator for Sinclair Elementary and most recently as an Assistant Principal for Scarborough High School.Lee Mashburn was born in New York but considers himself a true Texan having grown up in Conroe, Texas since second grade. He is a graduate of Conroe High School, received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Dallas, a Masters in Counseling from Prairie View A&M and a Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Saint Thomas.As a school leader and community member, Mr. Mashburn is thrilled about his return to Sinclair Elementary. His vision includes a devotion to Sinclair’s time honored traditions and building a team of highly effective teachers that cater to the needs of each individual learner. Mr. Mashburn is a dedicated and passionate educator with a commitment to excellence. He understands the importance of fostering and maintaining open lines of communication between all stakeholders and is eager to reconnect with the staff and community and be a part of a team that helps Sinclair Elementary, its students, staff and community embody the idea of SUPERSTARS!
