David Petty(DPETTY@houstonisd.org) is the head baseball coach and is in his 20th year at Heights HS.  The Bulldogs took 4th place in district 18-6A in 2021, and made it to the bi-district round of the playoffs.  The 2020 season was cancelled.  2019 saw a 2nd place finish and the 2017 and 2018 saw the Dogs finish 3rd in district with  bi-district playoff appearances.  During the past 19 seasons Heights has 3 district championships and there have been 16 playoff appearances, and 7 trips to the Area Round of the state playoffs.  Heights has a proud history of excellence on the diamond, and continues to draw in some of Houston's finest young baseball talent.  Excellence in all aspects of school is not expected but demanded.
