• Students Serving Students

The Harvard Student Council is composed of elected classroom representatives in grades 3-5. Students that express an interest within their classroom complete an application in the fall and present a speech to their classmates. A classroom election is held and a representative is elected. At the first meeting, representatives meet in grade level groups and collaborate as a team to determine which students will run for an elected office. Nominees campaign by making speeches on the morning announcements and hanging up posters around the school. On election day the candidates visit all classrooms in grades 3-5 as students place their votes.

Throughout the year council members will participate in several community and global service projects. These types of projects are considered part of the IB Action Cycle.
