Welcome to Seventh Grade!

At Pershing, seventh grade students are required to take English Language Arts/Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education.  In addition to the five required courses, students take 3 electives .  Seventh grade students also have the opportunity to take Algebra.  In order to qualify, students must take a readiness exam and score the necessary points on the matrix.  Information regarding the Algebra readiness test and what qualifies a student will be posted under Pershing School News on our website in the spring.  Seventh grade students may also qualify to take accelerated science.  All middle school students are required to take one year of fine arts.
