We believe it is important to recognize our students for all of their accomplishments. We have a number of programs in place which allow students to shine across a variety of ways.

    Honor Roll
Students earning no more than two B's (with the rest of their grades being A's) will be publicly recognized during lunch and rewarded with a special prize or treat.

gator elite Gator Elite recognizes the well-rounded role model student during each six-week grading cycle. Students must maintain an academic performance of IB-3 (or greater) in all classes, have all E's (Excellent) in conduct, and have no more than one daily absence in order to qualify for Gator Elite. Students who maintain this status for five out of the six grading cycles will qualify for a special year-end activity. In the past, students have visited the Kemah Boardwalk, waterparks, Dave and Busters and other recreational sites around Houston.

Guardian Gator is awarded to students during each six-week grading cycle for displaying IB Learner Profile traits in their daily school life. Qualifying students' names are placed into a drawing to win prizes and/or an invitation to a special celebration.

Gallant Gator is given at the end of the school year. Each teacher selects two students from among all their classes who best represent the spirit of Tanglewood and good overall citizenship.
