Dear Gator Families,

I hope this note finds you and your family well and are enjoying the last few days of summer. As the new principal of Tanglewood, it is with great excitement and anticipation that I welcome you on August 12^th to the new school year. I am truly honored to join this incredible community and to have the opportunity to work with such dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive families.

With the start of the new school year just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about my vision for our school. I bring with me 14 years of experience in education, having served in various roles such as math teacher, teacher specialist, and assistant principal. I fell in love with the IB program at Lamar High School and am excited about continuing to lead Tanglewood as an IB campus in which we are preparing students academically as well as creating globally-minded citizens. Throughout my career, I have been committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Tanglewood Middle School we are committed to providing a high-quality education that meets the diverse needs of all our students. This year, we will continue to focus on academic excellence, innovative teaching practices, and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we will place a strong emphasis on being a global citizen, ensuring that our students feel safe, supported, and valued.

I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for the success of our students. As such, I am committed to maintaining open lines of communication and fostering a collaborative relationship with all our families. I encourage you to be actively involved in your child's education and to participate in the various school events and activities we have planned throughout the year.

As we embark on this new school year together, I am confident that, with your support, we can make this year one of the best yet. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to create a positive and enriching experience for our students.
