  • Good morning,

I know that parents recieved a message yesterday to make a decision to return to Tanglewood face to face.  Please know that our number one priority is safety.  I have attached the parent guide provided by HISD.  I will not know specifics of how classes will look and transitions between classes will take place until we know exactly how many students will be returning face to face.  Please complete the survey in the HISD connect parent portal.  If you need your code to set up the portal, please email your Dean of Students.

As soon as I know more, you will know more.

I appreciate your support and patience during these uncertain times.

    Mrs. Hoffman

Do You Want Your Child To Take The STAAR Test?

This year Texas public schools are giving the STAAR assessment. For grades 3-8, it will not count for promotion, it will not affect your student’s grade, and students must be on campus to take this test.

Please complete the intent to test form located on our school web site, posted on Livingtree, or on our social media before March 12. Or, you can email your child’s homeroom teacher to let them know if you plan to have your student take the STAAR test, or if you do not want your child to take the test this year. Students can be signed out by a parent after they finish their test.

This information is important for planning the test on campus and observing safety precautions and distancing requirements.
