General Information

  • Mission:  At MCHS Felix Fraga, all students will obtain their high school diploma in a supportive, flexible academic environment, while building habits and skills to help them be successful in any post-secondary academic institution or the workforce.

    Vision:  Students at Middle College High School at HCC Felix Fraga will be empowered to enter the workforce or postsecondary institutions through engaging and relevant instruction in a supportive and encouraging academic community.

    Structure: Principal, 8 teachers, 3 hourly lecture support, 1 Teacher Specialist, 1 Curriculum and Instruction Technologist, 1 School secretary; and 1 Clerk
     
    Limited Enrollment: 160 students (Grades 9 to 12; under 21 years of age; must provide proof for residence in HISD)
     
    Location: 8 classrooms on the 2nd floor of HCC Felix Fraga Campus
     
    School Starts at 7:50am
    Instructional School Day: 8am to 3:40pm

    Transportation: Provided to enrolled students who live more than three miles from the school through HISD Transportation Check the HISD transportation website for more information: https://www.houstonisd.org/Page/69921

     
    Dress Code: Promote dress for success. We will not have uniforms, but will have a dress code expectations.
     
     Lunch: Is provided to students who qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch through HISD Food Services.
     
    Power Up Laptop: All students receive an HISD Power Up laptop after they pay the $25 Fee and sign Technology contract 
       

    Dual Credit:  Students are able to take HCC courses as long as they meet HCC requirements and are passing high school classes and have good attendance and behavior.
