MPVA Gamers Membership Application
The Greyhound Gamers Club is open to 6th grade students only! Students will explore video game consoles, playing classic video games from 1972 (PONG) to the present – students will have the opportunity to live like the kids of the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and 2000’s playing Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Atari 2600, and many more. We will also learn how to take things apart, clean and maintain systems.
Students are escorted to the front courtyard at 5:00p.m. and should be picked promptly.
All students are required to fill out an APPLICATION which can be picked up from Mr. Mathis in room 115. Students will also need to provide a copy of their first six weeks report card, and references from all eight of their teachers.
Space is limited to 15 students. Grades must be kept at 80 or above in order to remain in the club. Grades will be monitored throughout the school year with progress reports and report cards. A drop in grades under 80% in any class mean a temporary leave of absence from video game club meetings. There are no membership fees, but donations of unwanted video games or video consoles are always appreciated. (Special Form, ask Mr. Mathis)
A club shirt will be available but must be purchased separately from the dues.
(Please note: students come to play video games but must abide by the rules; this is not a venue for students to sit and just wait to be picked up or a daycare facility. Students are expected to be picked up on time or they will be unable to attend further meetings.)
