Greetings to the South Early College High School Family!

Colleagues, educators, parents, students, and community, I am Steven Gourrier, and it is an honor to be the Principal of SECHS. I am excited and equipped with 11 years of administrative experience for a total of 18 years in public education, with diverse leadership experiences at the elementary, secondary, and postsecondary levels. Currently, I am ready to serve as the instructional leader to forge a bridge between our community and the collegiate opportunities available for our students.

We are open-minded and envision SECHS as a beacon of light for our community, state, and nation. Our team of dedicated and qualified educators is charged to ensure the success of each student we serve. To accomplish this task, we wish that you as parents and community members will encourage our children to take advantage of the early college experience. SECHS offers the following collegiate and career opportunities:

·        Career focused STEM programming at HCC South for Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Technology, Software Engineering,

·        Small teacher to student ratio

·        An opportunity to obtain an associate degree and transferable college credit hours

Most importantly, in addition to the collegiate and career opportunities for our students, our team cultivates students’ social and emotional development through personalization and mentorship throughout the duration of their studies.
