    Roberts Elementary is located in the heart of the Southgate neighborhood just south of Rice University and west of the Texas Medical Center.

  • Parking

    Parents and guests visiting Roberts during the day may park in the Circle Drive (off of Swift Blvd.) as space permits, but not during drop-off (between 7:45-8:15 a.m.) or pick-up (between 2:30-3:45 p.m.) times.  There is one designated wheel chair accessible parking spot in the Circle Drive.  Parking is never allowed along the red fire lane curb.  The parking lots on school grounds are for faculty and staff only.  

    Street parking around the school is somewhat limited.  Pay close attention to the parking zone signage throughout the neighborhood as many streets prohibit street parking during marked hours without a parking permit.  Consult the Roberts Parking Map (PDF) to see general parking options.  When parking, please be respectful of our neighbors.  Be warned that local police will issue tickets for parking violations around the school campus!  

    Please do not:
    • block driveways 
    • park in front of garbage cans on collection day (Tuesdays)
    • park too close to crosswalks
    • park facing the wrong direction
