IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS

  • ATHLETICS MEETING FOR 2022-23

    Ortiz coaches will be hosting an informational parent meeting on Monday, May 23rd, for all Eagles interested in participating in athletics next school year. Information about requirements, physicals, and insurance will be provided. Students planning on participating in any UIL event can attend.

  • STAAR Assessment Schedule

    Students will be taking the state-required STAAR assessments in May.

    May 10:  STAAR Math (grades 6, 7, 8)
    May 11:  STAAR Reading (grades 6, 7, 8)
    May 17:  STAAR Science (grade 8 only)
    May 18:  STAAR Social Studies (grade 8 only)

  • DRESS CODE CHANGES FOR 2021-22

     Ortiz students will be required to wear colored polo-style shirts as part of the 2021-22 Ortiz Dress Code. The colors have changed: 6th Grade will now be Light Blule, 7th Grade will be Gray, and 8th Grade will be Navy Blue. Pants allowed will be khaki pants/skirts/shorts, (fingertip length), navy blue pants/skirts/shorts (fingertip length) and jeans (no rips, no holes, no frayed hems, no joggers, no cargo pants). The full dress code will be included in the 2021-22 Parent and Student Handbook that will be posted on this website later this summer.
