  • Learning Link

    HISD and the Houston Public Library (HPL) have partnered to provide student and district employees access to the vast assortment of books and resources available from HPL. The HPL Learning Link program allows students to check out HPL materials from any of HPL's 43 locations and utilize HPL online resources through the HUB. HISD students are automatically enrolled in this program.

  • Book Fair

    The profits from the book fairs go toward buying more books for the Horn Library, so please come out and support our library. Our Fall Book Fair will be held in the Horn Library during the week of November 17th. The Spring Book Fair will be held during the week of March 9th.

  • Name That Book

    "Name that Book" is a HISD annual reading competition. Each elementary school in HISD can have 2 teams (K-2 and 3rd-5th) each consisting of six students. Students must read books from a specific list.
