• Communications/Creative Writing

The communications program emphasizes oral and written communication skills and is designed to enrich and enhance the daily classroom language-arts curriculum. As students are exposed to exciting writing through first-rate children's literature, they learn to write for a a variety of purposes, such as memoir writing in narrative and poetic forms presenting facts, and expressing opinions. Daily, the students can express their ideas in both formal and informal settings through prose, dramatization, and student-made computer-generated books.
