    Assistant Principal

    Dr. Toiya L. Gulley is a dedicated Assistant Principal supporting 11th grade students at HISD, where she also leads the Special Education and English 3 & 4 content teams. A Cleveland, Ohio native, she earned her Bachelor's degree from Grambling State University and both her Master's and Doctoral degrees from Prairie View A & M University. With over 19 years of diverse experience across Elementary, Middle, and High School levels, Dr. Gulley has held various roles including ESL teacher, Teacher Specialist, Assistant Principal, and Principal Apprentice. Her commitment to the HISD and Madison communities is unwavering, and she proudly balances her professional life with being a mother to a 6-year-old daughter.
