    Assistant Principal

    Crystal Blanchard was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Ms. Blanchard holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and Master’s in Education Administration from Concordia University in Austin. She began her educational career in Austin ISD as a Grant Writer for all schools.  In 2005, Ms. Blanchard moved to Galena Park ISD in Houston, TX.  Having nineteen years experience, she has served as a Math Teacher, Instructional Specialist, Testing Coordinator, Assistant Principal and Dean of Instruction in schools across the city of Houston.  She takes pride in being a data-driven, instructional leader.  Ms. Blanchard is excited to work with the students, staff and community of Madison HS to ensure all students are successful.  Ms. Blanchard ensures that Madison will meet their instructional goals while maintaining a strong campus culture built with effective systems.   With a similar background as Madison’s students, Ms. Blanchard’s main goal is to help cultivate the most precious investment…”the students”.  In her free time, she enjoys shopping, outdoor activities, and spending time with her 18-year-old son, Denzel, and the family dog, Rex.   Ms. Blanchard’s favorite quote is “Don’t follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path, and leave a trail.”

    Dana Hill Marchand

    Assistant Principal 

    • Dana Hill Marchand was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, but has lived in the Houston area for the last 17 years. Dana is a proud graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana. At Xavier, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, with a minor in History. Mrs. Marchand furthered her education by earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Letourneau University.  Dana began her educational career with Houston Independent School District (HISD) in 2007. Previously within HISD, Mrs. Marchand served as an elementary teacher and an Educational Diagnostician. Presently, she serves as one of the 12th Grade Assistant Principals and supports the Fine Arts Department as the Math department.  Mrs. Marchand loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. She and her husband, Charles Marchand, have one son, Kenneth, a daughter, named Charli, and a chocolate labrador retriever named Bella.
