Our Visual Arts program, as part of our Magnet for the Performing and Visual Arts, expanded for the 2017-2018 school year. With the addition of a second art teacher, now all students take one semester of visual art in each year of middle school. Students are exposed to the elements of art, various art forms, and courses that are designed to move students progressively through the grade levels to encompass more technical skills. Students are also able to compete in art contests district- and city-wide.
