Student Digital Safety (Digital Citizenship)
Each month from September through April our students will be given a short online lesson over various topics of digital safety. These topics are chosen by the district and are required as part of the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program.
All lessons can be accessed through the Digital Resources section of Canvas in Learning.Com. Topics to be covered are:
September - Online Safety: Digital Citizenship AND Online Safety: Dealing with Cyberbullying (required to complete upon receipt of the Chromebook)
October - Internet Usage: Ethical Use of Digital Resources
November - Online Communication: Sharing Safely Online
December - Online Communication: Online Personal Communication
January - Netiquette in Online Communication
February - Online Communication: Sharing and Collaborating Online
March - Online Communication: Communicating with Instant Messaging
April - Online Communication: Using Personal Learning Networks

Parents can ask students to log in and show them each monthly lesson above if desired. Additionally, the links below will take you to short articles from Common Sense Media that you can read and use to help your child(ren) at home. These topics will coincide with the student lessons whenever possible.
