Football

Meyerland football prides itself on teaching young athletes the skills to better themselves as football players. We work with kids who have never played football before to those who have played Pee-wee football since they were little. We teach our players to be not only leaders on the football field but leaders in the classroom. We give them the tools to be successful in sports and academics. We have had many football players who have come through MPVA who are now playing in college or the NFL. Our coaching staff is made up of teachers who bring a variety of knowledge to the game and who have skills to help mentor and teach the kids how to be successful. We take pride and ownership at being a good football program. Meyerland football is a great program that was awarded the Sportsmanship award two years in a row for displaying good sportsmanship on and off the field. That is what makes Greyhound football great.
