  • Jamecia Crenshaw-JonesJamecia Crenshaw-Jones is the proud principal of S.C. Red STEM Magnet School. With more than 11 years of experience in education, she specializes in English Language Arts (ELA) and English as a Second Language (ESL) as a teacher. During her 2014 Teach For America Houston Corps experience, Principal Crenshaw-Jones served as a 6th – 8th grade Reading & Writing teacher at Northbrook Middle School in Spring Branch ISD. She was then offered the opportunity to expand her capacity in the Language Arts by joining Houston ISD as a high school English teacher at Sharpstown High School. It was here that she grew her love for supporting newcomer students, hailing from multiple countries, while developing their English Language proficiency. She later served as an Instructional Specialist at Clifton Middle School, before becoming Dean of Instruction at Worthing Early College High School. During her time at Worthing, Principal Crenshaw-Jones coached teachers and leaders in all content areas, including ELA, Special Education, History, and Mathematics. She was also the Advanced Academics Dean and presided over Early College, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Dual Enrollment programs. Principal Crenshaw-Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Auburn University, a master’s degree in Strategic Communication & Innovation from Texas Tech University, and a Principal Certificate from Lamar University. As the school principal, Ms. Crenshaw-Jones believes that all students deserve an equitable education that allows them to create a self-fulfilled life. Her main priorities are safety at all levels, high-quality instruction, and a healthy school culture.
