Advanced Academic Placement Program
Pre-AP courses are offered at the 9th and 10th grade levels. Advanced Placement (AP) courses
are classes offered in 11th and 12th grade. These courses are taught with higher-level content
and achievement expectations than standard high school courses. Students who take and pass
AP exams are eligible to receive college credit. The Texas Advanced Placement Incentive
Program pays for a portion of each AP test, and additional aid is available to students with
financial need. The AP Program is administered by the College Board.
Dual Credit Program
Students may also earn high school and college credit by taking college-level courses for dual credit.
Students are not expected to pay college fees and tuition; however, they must pass a
college-readiness test before enrolling Contact Ms. Castillo
