Welcome to 5th Grade

English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) and Social Studies! 

I am excited about beginning my sixth year at T. H. Rogers with our 5th graders! This year promises to be stimulating and challenging while we explore multiple genres and delve deeper into reading comprehension and authentic writing. Plus, we discover the rich history of the United States. My goal is to see each student reach their potential as a preteen reader and to continue to develop strong writing skills. Strong reading skills are essential in all subjects and carry into life-long reading. Our classroom will also focus on the valuable skills and tools needed to prepare them for their middle school adventures and beyond.
