Prep Bowl is an academic competition for school teams. The topics are science, math, social studies, literature, pop culture, current events, sports, and fine arts.
School teams compete against each other in two half rounds with the team with the most points winning the round. Playoffs for each tournament are determined by records and scores for each team. Each qualified team competes in a playoff bracket to determine the champion for the tournament.
There are several tournaments throughout the year and a Texas State Championship towards the end of the year. A national tournament is in May at different locations in the U.S. NAQT.
